What batteries do electric bikes have?
For new or recent e-bikes, you'll always get some kind of lithium-ion battery. Old, used e-bikes may have other chemical reactions; The earliest e-bikes had heavy lead-acid batteries, then nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal hydride, which were lighter and could still be found to retain useful capabilities for shorter runs
